Page 1 ORDINANCE HO. 72.2 AN ORDINANCE DIVIDING THE CITY OF PRICHARD INTO WARDS AND DESIGNATING THE NUIBER AND BOUNDARIES OF SUCH WARDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: . - Section 1. The City of Prichard, Alabama, is hereby and herewith di- vided into five wards, the wards to be designated as hereinafter pro- vided “in. Section 2 and the boundaries of such wards to be as herein- after provided in Section 2. ” Section 2.'-(a) Ward 1-Pp. The boundaries of Ward 1-P shall be as follow: commencing at the intersection .of the center line of Craft Highway,,with the southern city limits of Prichard; thence running northwardly aleng said center line of Craft Highway to its intersec~ tion with the north line of Terminal Railway, Alabama State Docks, right-of-way; thence running eastwardly along said north line of Term- inal Railway right-of-way to a point where it coincides with the city limits of*Prichard; thence following the present corporate limits of Prichard to the point of beginning as follows: Hastwardly, southwardly, eastwardly, southwardly, eastwardly, southwardly, eastwardly, south- wardly, southwestwardly, southwardly, southwestwardly, northwardly, westwardly, southwestwardly, southeastwardly, southwardly, southeast- wardly, southwestwardly, southwardly, and westwardly along said city limits to the point of beginning. (b) Ward 2-~. The boundaries of Ward 2~P 'shall be as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of evaft Kighway with the southern city limits of Prichard; thence running northwardly along said center line of Craft Highway to a point where it intersects the center line of Terminal Railway, Alabama State Docks, right-of-way; thence running westwardly along the center line of said Tecminal Railway right-of-way to a point where it intersects the cen- ter line of Wilson avenue; thence running northwardly along the center line of Wilson Avenue to a point where it intersects the center line of Dunlap Circle; thence running westwardly, southwardly, westwardly, and southwardly along the center line of Dunlap Circle to a point where it intersects the center line of Turner Road; thence running southwardly frem said point and along the center line of Price Avenue to a point where it intersects the center line of the G. M. & O. Railroad right- of-way; thence running southeastwardly along the center line of said G. M. & O. Railroad right-of-way to a point where it intersects the center line of Percy Avenue; thence running southwestwardly along the center line of Percy Avenue to a point where it intersects the center’ line of the Bay Shore Branch right-of-way of the G. M. & 0. Railroad; thence running southwestwardly along said center line of the Bay Shore Branch Right-of-way of the G. Hi. & 0. (e) Ward 5-P, The boundaries of Ward 5-F shall be as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the center of Eight wile Creek with the northern city limits of Prichard (being the southern-most intersection of Eight Mile Creek with the northern city limits of Prichard); thence running southwestwardly and south- wardly along the center of Eight Mile Creek to a point where it inter- sects thesouthern city limits of Prichard; thence following the present corporate limits of Prichard to the point of beginning as fol- lows: Westwardly to the southwest corner of Section 25, Township 3 South, Range 2 West; thence northwardiy to the northwest corner of the southwest one-fourth of Section 13, Township 3 South, Range 2 West; thence east 2640 feet; thence southwardly to the center line £ the G. M. & 0. Railroad; thence southeastwardly to the south line of the north one-half of the north one-half of Section 24, Township 3 South, Range 2 West; thence eastwardly to the east line of sazd Lange 2 West; thence northwardly 2640 feet; thence eastwardly 1329 feet; thence southwardly 1320 feet; thence eastwardly 3960 feet southwardly along the city limits of Prichard to the point of ning.
