Ordinance documents and the code are different
The ordinance archive contains individually released legislative documents. The Code of Ordinances is an organized, separately reviewed publication. An uploaded ordinance does not automatically change it. Read pending-amendment notices and check the edition’s effective date and source cutoff.
Search precisely
Use quoted phrases, All words, Any word, or the Exclude field. An asterisk matches a character sequence. The exact number field searches official record numbers, including meaningful leading zeros and suffixes. Year and document-type filters apply to records; the code search searches the current published edition.
Read, compare and share
Use the contents tree, breadcrumbs, and Previous/Next links. Cross-reference previews are available by keyboard focus or pointer hover when a section reference uniquely matches the same edition. Compare published editions to see added and removed text. The comparison is not a legal interpretation.
Select up to 100 code sections from the same edition, then print, save as PDF through your browser, or download a DOCX research copy. Share permanent URLs or use Email link in your own mail application. Downloaded copies cannot be recalled after a correction.
Follow publication updates
The Atom feed lists recently published records and editions. Add it to a compatible feed reader. It is not an email subscription, and no email is sent when you view it. Your feed reader may retain an older title even after the live record is withdrawn.
Accessibility and language assistance
Records include a reviewed public transcription when released. OCR and automated reconstruction do not certify accessibility. Request an accessible format or language assistance from the record custodian. This release does not automatically translate laws.
