Page 1 ‘BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: That PARAGRAPHS 175 and! 176 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 669 are hereby amended so that same shall hereafter read and be, as follows: . 175, Insurance Companies, Upon each Insurance Company other than Fire and Marine Insurance Companies doing business in the City of Prichard, $20.00 and an _ amount equal to $1.00 on each $100.00 and major fraction there- “of, on gross premiums, Jess re-. turn premiums, received during } the preceding year on policies is- sued during said year to citizens of Prichard. On or before March ist of each year, each Insurance Co,, other than Fire and Marine Companies, which did any pusi- ness in or wrote any insurance for any citizen or resident of the City of Prichard shall furnish to the Mayor of the City of Prichard a statement in writing verified by the President, Vice President .or, Secretary of such company, set. | ting out and showing the full and the true amount of gross prem-! jums, less premium returns, re~ ceived during the preceding year on all policies of such insurance issued in the City of Prichard during the preceding year and shall accompany such statement with the amount of license due from said Company. Failure to make such report or to pay the: license due on or before the ist day of March shall forfeit the right of such company to do busi-' ness until such time as such fail- ure shall be corrected and shall | subject such company and its agents~to such penalties as are' otherwise prescribed by the or- dinances of the City_of Prichard for failure to pay licénses or privilege taxes.
