Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1241 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THR ZONING ORDINANCE OF THR CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, BING ORDINANCE NO. 981. BE IT ORDAINED BY THR CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard being Ordinance No. 981 together with the Zoning Map of the City of Prichard be, and the same are hereby changed and altered in respect to that certain property in the City of Prichard, State of Alabama, described as follows, to-wit: A lot or parcel of land bounded by a line déseribed as follows to wit; commencing at the Southeastward corner of Parcel 12 of the Engine Street Urban Renewal Project Ala. R-56 Prichard Alabama, according to the revised plan thereof prepared by Poly- Engineering, Consulting Engineers, Dated March 26, 1968, and re- corded in Map Book 18, Pages 53-A and 53-B of the Records in the office of the Judge of the Probate Court of Mobile County, Ala- bama, run thence North 55 degrees 06 minutes 15 seconds West and along the southward right of way line of Wisconsin Street (Sometimes known as McCrory Street) a distance of 324.43 feet; thence run South 34 degrees 53 minutes 45 seconds West 25 feet to the point of beginning of the property herein described; thence continue South 34 degrees 53 minutes 45 seconds West 25 feet; thence run North 55 degrees 06 minutes 15 seconds West 25 feet; thence run North 34 degrees 53 minutes 45 seconds East 25 feet; thence run South 55 degrees 06 minutes 15 seconds Fast 25 feet to the point of beginning. The classification of said property is hereby changed from Residential (R-3) District to Business (B-1) District and it shall hereafter be law- ful to construct on such property any structures permitted by Ordinance No. 981, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, and to use said premises for any use permitted by the terms of said Ordinance in a Business (B-1) District; provided, however (1) That this site not be enlarged at a future date. (2) That it be operated solely by the Blind Association and by a blind person (3) If it should ever cease to be used under these conditions, that its commercial classification be voided. And further provided that the plans for any structure or building sought an to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the building laws of the City of Prichard, and that any structure shall be approved by the Building Inspector of the City of Prichard, and that any such structure be erected only in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of said Ordinance No. 981. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon its approval as required by law. Adopted this 18th day of May, 1970: APPROVED:
