Every motor vehicle operated within the City of Prichard, Alabama, or its police jurisdiction, shall be at all times * .-'! equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant oa operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and annoying smoke, . nes and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, bypass, a muffler without baffles, or similar device upon a motor vehicle on a street or : highway within the City of Prichard or its police jurisdiction. Section 2. The engine and power mechanism of every motor vehicle operated within the City of Prichard, Alabama, or its polic, juris- diction, shall be so equipped and adjusted as to prevent the escape -, of excessive fumes or smoke. = “y Section 3.
