GAS _ An ordinance to provide certain improvements on Moton Street, Robertson Street, Booker Street and Central Avenue in the Police Jurisdiction of the City of Prichard, Alabama, to provide for the kind and character of improvements to be made and the method to be employed in paying for same. BE If ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: TO-WIT: 1. That Senitary Sewers be constructed on Moton Street, Robertson Street, Booker Street and Central Avenue . 2. That in the construction of said sewers all necessary connections, wyes, manholes and other appurtenances, be constructed, all as shown on the detail drawings, plans, specifications and surveys and cost estimates for said work heretofor prepared by Ladd Engineering Company, presented to and hereby approved by the City Council and placed on file in the office of the City Clerk where affected property owners and other inter- ested parties may see and examine the same. 3. That said sewers be constructed of vitrified clay pipes with bituminous joints, that manholes be constructed of brick, concrete and cast iron, all as shown on the approved plans and specifications. 4. That the cost of constructing the improvements provided for in the preceeding section shall be assessed against the properties abutting on the streets and protions thereof herein provided to be improved in the manner provided by the laws of the State of Alabama; provided: no assessments shall exceed the cost of the improvement nor the increased value of such property by reason of the special benefit derived from such improvement. 5S. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Ordinance to be published once a week fortwo consective weeks in the Prichard Citizen, a newspaper published in the City ingeneral circulati therein, first insertion to be at least two weeks prior to » the date hewein set to hear objections, remonstrances, or protests respecting the improvements provided for herein, 7. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to have a copy of this Ordinance sent by registered mail, postage prepaid, to each of the persons last assessing for city or county taxation the property which may be assessed for said improvements, each such copy to be mailed to each such per at this t known address not less than ten days prior to 7g »195 .
