Mayor & City Council .
City of Prichard “
Dear Mayor & Counciimen:
As requested, I have studied the truck route in the City of Prichard
and the only changes I would make is instead of the trucks turning out
from Wasson Avenue to Main Street to Branch Avenue to St. Stephens Road,
I would send the trucks straight out Wasson Avenue to St. Stephens Road.
This would cut the maintenance cost of the City of Prichard by 2/3
percent. As you know, St. Stephens Road is a state highway and is main-
tained by the state, and Main Street and Branch Avenue has to be maintained
by the City and are in bad need of repairs right now, and continued use of
trucks on these streets would simply destroy them.
Your immediate attention on this matter is necessary.
Sincerely,
H. i BOSSETT, DIR. OF INSP. SERVICES
