Page 1 ORDINANCE NO.: _ 2913 ~ ,, AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES ‘ON CHECKS AND ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA AFTER RESIGNATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama has notified the City Council of the appointment of Angela Brown to serve as Temporary Director of Finance in the place of Rex Williams who resigned his employment effective as of November 27, 2013; WHEREAS, the governing body now finds it necessary and desirable to designate and authorize Angela Brown, as Temporary Director of Finance, as an authorized signatory on the checks and accounts of the City of Prichard, in the place of Rex Williams; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, as follows: Section1. | That Troy L. Ephriam, as Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama and Angela Brown, as Temporary Director of Finance of the City of Prichard, Alabama, are hereby jointly authorized to sign all checks drawn on the accounts and books of the City of Prichard, Alabama. Section 2. That in addition to those designated in Section 1 of this Ordinance, Darlene Palmer-Lewis, the City Clerk of the City of Prichard, Alabama, is hereby authorized to sign payroll checks drawn on the accounts and books of the City of Prichard, Alabama, jointly with at one least one (1) of the signatories authorized in Section 1 hereof. Section3. = That all checks drawn on accounts of the City of Prichard shall signed by at least two authorized persons. Section 4. — That all ordinances, resolutions and parts of ordinances and resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed and of no further force or effect. Section 5. The City Clerk of the City of Prichard, Alabama shall provide forthwith a copy of this ordinance to the banks and financial institutions holding accounts of the City of Prichard. ‘ Section 6. | This ordinance shall become effective immediately after its adoption and as required by law.
