Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 562 ~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD: ~, SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any ambulance or other similar vehicle, by whatever name called, to be driven or operated upon the public streets or highways of the City of Prichard or in the Police Jurisdiction thereof unless the following requirements shall have been mets 1. The driver shall be over the age of twenty-one (21) years and shall have a chauffeur's license. 2. Such vehicle shall observe a speed limit of 35 miles per hour and other traffic regulations as are required of regular passenger vehicles. 3. Such vehicle shall be covered at all times, whether in use or not, by a valid policy with a reputable insurance company insuring the owner of such vehicle against loss by reasoh of collision or other casualty in an amount not less thah $5,000.00 for each person, $10,000.00 for each collision or casulaty and property damage of $5,000.00 for each collision or casualty. Such policy or policies shall be deposited with and satisfactory to the City Clerk of the City of Prichard. SECTION 2. Any person driving such vehicle contrary to the provisions of Section 1 hereof, and the person, firm or corporation owning the same, one or both, shall be guilty of an offense against the City of Prichard, and shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than 4100.00, and may, in addition, be sentenced to not more than 6 months hard labor for the City of Prichard.
