Page 1 ORDINANCE NO:-2.0 80 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2069 wy BEING THE 2018-2019 BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama approved Ordinance No. 2069 on January 24, 2019, adopting the General Fund Budget for the City of Prichard, Alabama for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019, WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama did not approve or adopt a General Fund Budget for the Fiscal Year 2019-2020, WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Prichard has not approved or adopted a General Fund Budget for the City of Prichard for Fiscal Year 2020-2021, WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard and the Finance Director has proposed the following line item in the said rolled over 2018-2019 General Fund Budget be created, as follows, to-wit: i. To create a new line item within the rolled over 2018-19 General Fund Budget to be named 30010 Loves Travel Center and \ ii. _ That said newly created line item 30010 Loves Travel Center be funded in the amount of $6,417.00. WHEREAS the total amount to be added to said Budget Line item 30010 is $6,417.00. WHEREAS, to accomplish said amendment the Mayor of the City of Prichard recommends, the following: a. That Line Item 20990 Contingency Fund/Budget Reserve be amended by decreasing the same by $6,417.00 from $216,800.00 to $210,383.00 WHEREAS the total amount decreasing the said Budget Line item is: $6,417.00. WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, the governing body finds and determines that it is in the best interest and good of the City of Prichard to amend Ordinance 2069. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That on the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama, the following: i. That General Fund Budget Line Item 30010 Loves Travel Center be created. wy ii. That Line Item 30010 Loves Travel Center be amended by increasing the same from $0.00 to $6,417.00. WHEREAS the total amount to be added to said Budget Line item 30010 is $6,417.00. Section 2. That on the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama, Page 2 a. That Line Item 20990 Contingency Fund/Budget Reserve be amended by decreasing the same by $6,417.00 from $216,800.00 to $210,383.00. wo WHEREAS the total amount decreasing the said Budget Line item is: $6,417.00. Section 3. That by the signature affixed herein below, the Finance Director of the City of Prichard, Alabama hereby certifies there is a sufficient unexpended and unencumbered balance in Budget Line Item 20990 Contingency Fund/Budget Reserve Section 4. That all other parts of Ordinance 2069 shall be and remain the same. Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and publication as required by law.
