Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1707 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1072 BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1072, adopted September 7, 1966, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: It shall be unlawful and an offense against the City of Prichard to move or cause to be moved on or along the public streets of the City of Prichard any house, building, or other structure of similar nature without first obtaining from the Chief of Police or his designated agent a permit to do so, and in addition thereto, depositing with the City of Prichard the sum of $100.00 as an indemnity against damage to public property by reason of such moving, providing that such a deposit, less whatever amount shall be deducted to indemnify against loss by damage to or destruction of public property, shall be returned to the depositor; and, provide further, any person who has been resident citizen of Mobile County, Alabama, for a period in excess of two (2) years, may, in lieu of posting $100.00 as indemnity, post with the City of Prichard an indemnity bond in the amount of $5,000.00. with good and sufficient surety, indemnifying the City of Prichard against damage to public property by reason of such moving.
