Except as provided in Section 3 ef this ordinance, it shall be unlawful fer any person, firm, cerporation, or association within the City of Prichard, Alabama, er its police jurisdiction, to sell, offer fer sale, keep, or have in possess- ion, barter, exchange, er give away, furnish at a public place or elsewhere, or otherwise dispose of, use, or explode any fire- works or pyrotechnics described in Sectien 1 of this ordinance, or to accept the delivery of, receive, have in possession, or pessess in the City of Prichard, or its pelice jurisdiction, _ aay, of Phage fireworks or pyrotechnics in any quantity whatsoever. “Section 30° “Section 2 ef this ordinance shall net apply to the ‘pessession, sale, disposal, use or explesion of fireworks for /public displays:in accordance with rules and rggulations pro- “maigated.by the Fire Chief of the City of Prichard, Alabama. Any person prepesing to hold a public display of fireworks shall give notice thereof to the Fire Chief of the City of Prichard at least five (5) days prior thereto, and the Fire Chief may fer good cause by order disappreve the display and prohibit its being held. Section 4. Ordinance Nes. 671 and 675 are hereby repealed. Section 5. All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 6. Any persen violating any ef the provisiens of this ordinance, shall, upen conviction, be punished by a fine of “now mere than one tundted*($100.00) Dellars, and may in addi- “ tion, be sentenced to jail or hard labor for the City of Prichard for a peried not to exceed six (6) months.
