Page 1 ORDINANCE NO: #2076 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2069 O BEING THE 2018-2019 BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama approved Ordinance No. 2069 on January 24, 2019, adopting the General Fund Budget for the City of Prichard, Alabama for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019. WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard and the Finance Director has proposed the following line items in the said 2018-2019 General Fund Budget be amended, as follows, to-wit: i. That General Fund Budget Line Item 20340 Election Expense be amended by increasing the same from $0.00 to $50,000.00. WHEREAS the total amount to be added to said Budget Line item: 20340 IS $50,000.00. WHEREAS, in order to accomplish said amendment the Mayor of the City of Prichard recommends, the following: a. That Line Item 20900 Garbage Collection be amended by decreasing the same by $50,000.00 from $1,020,000.00 to $970,000.00. Qhucrens, the total amount amended decreasing the same to said Budget Line items is: $50.000.00. WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, the governing body finds and determines that it is in the best interest and good of the City of Prichard to amend Ordinance 2069. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, That on the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama, the following: i. That General Fund Budget Line Item 20340 Election Expense be amended by increasing the same from $0.00 to $50,000.00. WHEREAS, the total amount to be added to said Budget Line item 20340 is: $50,000.00 Section 2, That on the recommendation of the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama, a. That by the signature affixed herein below, the Finance Director of the City of Prichard, Alabama hereby certifies there is a sufficient unexpended and unencumbered balance in Budget Line Item 20900 Garbage Collection. Section 4. That all other parts of Ordinance 2069 shall be and remain the same. Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and publication as required by law.
