Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1211 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 981. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, being Ordinance No. 981 together with the Zoning Map of the City of Prichard, be, and the same are hereby changed and altered in respect to that certain property in the City of Prichard, State of Alabama, described as follows, to-wit: That part of Lots 34 & 35 in Range 1 West, Owens Division of the ‘ St. Louis Tract Section 2, Township 3 South, Range 2 West, as shown in Survey made by J. N. Seabury November 13, 1925 and more fully described as follows: He@ig at a point of the intersection of the Western side of St. Stephens Road and center line of Eight Mile Creek running thence South 24 degrees East for a distance of 16 chains and 24 links to a point, thence South 49-1/2 degrees West for a distance of 3 chains and 16 links to a point, thence South 38-1/2 degrees West for a distance of 1 chain and 20 links to a point, thence South 23-1/2 degrees West for a distance of 3 chains and 50 links to a point thence South 27 degrees West for a distance of 3 chains 58 links to a point, thence, South 35 degrees West for a distance 2 chains and 46 links to a point. Thence South 40-1/2 degrees West for a distance of 3 chains and 90 links to a point; which intereects East line of Alley on West side lots 35 and 34 thence Northwardly along said East line of Alley a distance of 13 chains and 50 links to a point where the said East line of Alley intersects center line of Eight Mile Creek, thence in a Northeasterly direction meandering along center of Eight Mile Creek to a point and the place of beginning; comprising 25 acres, more or less; Excepting however, the West 175 feet adjoining the East side of Owens Street. The classification of said property is herebyychanged from Residential (R-2) District to Commercial (B-1) District and it shall hereafter be lawful to construct on such property any structures permitted by the terms of said Ordinance in a Commercial (Bel) District, with the following stipulations as submitted by the City Planner: (a) That before a building permit be issued, a plot plan be submitted on each structure or structures constructed. (b) That all buildings be set back a minimum of 60' from the right- of-way, that limited access points be established on St. Stephens Road; and further provided, however, that the plans for any structure or building sought to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the building laws of the City of Prichard, and that any structure shall be approved by the Building Inspector of the City of Prichard, and that any such structure be erected only in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of said Ordinance No. 981. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon its approval as required by law. ADOPTED this 22nd day of July, 1969. APPROVED:
