Page 1 EY aa ae ae a BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Whenever, in the opinion of the Mayor of the City of Prichard the presence of any obstruction in any drain or ditch in the City of Prichard or in the Police Jurisdiction thereof shall constitute a menace to the health, welfare, or morals of the people of the City of Prichard he may notify the owner of or agent for said property upon which any such drain or ditch is locited, either by writing delivered to such owner or agent or by posting notice upon the property, of such condition, and such owner or agent shall remove or cause to be removed such obstruction in such manner es to SECTION 2. If the owner of or agent for said property shal fail or refuse to complete such removal of such obstruction wit ten days from the date of the delivery of the notice or posting a? Employee to perform such removal of such obstruction in such manner thereof on said property the Mayor shall direct the proper city as to cause said drain or ditch to function in a reasonably efficient manner. And the reasonable cost thereof shall become a lien against the property concerned and shall be collectable by the city at the same time and in the same manner as are ad valorem taxes of the city of Prichard, Adopted this kth day of May, 1953.
