Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1710 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #1653, AS AMENDED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, | THAT ORDINANCE #1653 BE AND HEREBY IS AMENDED SO THAT THE ORDINANCE AS AMENDED SHALL HENCEFORTH READ AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a truck of greater than 3/4 tons on any street or highway of the City of Prichard, Alabama, except as follows: A. When going east to west (or on the reverse route when going west to east) as follows: I. Woodland Street to Diaz Street to Turner Road to Wasson Avenue to Highway 45 to Lott Road; or, II. Woodland Street to Diaz Street to Turner Road to Patricia Avenue to Bessemer Avenue to Highway 45 to Lott Road; or, III. Bay Bridge Road to Mission Street to South Craft Highway to Highway 45 to Lott Road; or, IV. Conception Street Road to South Craft Highway to ee 45 to Lott Road; or, ‘ V. Prichard Avenue east/west to Highway 45 and then in — direction to the appropriate truck route streets and highways. B. When traveling north or south, as follows: | I. The east-west truck routes shall be used to intersect with U.S. Highway 45, Interstate 65, or Telegraph Road. SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a log truck or paper wood truck on any street or highway of the City of Prichard, Alabama, except as follows: A. When going east to west (or on the reverse route when going west to east) as follows: I. Bay Bridge Road to Mission Street to South Craft Highway to Highway 45 to Lott Road; or, | Ii. Conception Street Road to South Craft Highway to Highway 45 to Lott Road. III. Woodland Street to Telegraph Road to Bay Bridge Road to Mission Street to South Craft Highway to Highway 45 | to Lott Road. B. When traveling north or south, as follows: I. The east-west log truck or paper wood truck routes shall be used to intersect with U. S. Highway 45, Interstate 65, or Telegraph Road. SECTION 3. The provisions of Section 1 of this Ordinance shall not apply to trucks making a delivery or picking up an item within the City or to municipal or public works, or to trucks going to or from the residence or place of aie of the owner of such trucks, if located within the City. SECTION 4. The provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance shall not apply to log trucks or paper wood trucks going to or from the residence or place of business of the owner of such trucks, if located within the City, or to municipal or public log trucks or paper wood trucks. Tih) va Page 2 ORDINANCE 1710 page 2 . SECTION 5. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. Any person violating Sections 1 or 2 of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00, and/or imprisonment in the City of Prichard jail for a term not to exceed six (6) months.
