Page 1 ORDINANCE No.72 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 797. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the zoning ordinance of the City of Prichard, being Ordinance No, 797, together with the zoning map of the City of Pri- chard, be, and the same are hereby changed and altered in respect to that certain property in the City of Prichard, State of Alabama, des- cribed as follows, to-wit: All that part of Lots 8 and 9 of the Connelly Tract more particularly described as follows, viz: From the intersection of the North line of Lot 8 of the Tract with the East line of U. S. Highway 45 run Southwardly along the East line of U. S. Highway 45 a distance of 169 feet to a point marking the point of beginning; continue thence Southwardly along the East line of U. S. Highway 45, 520 feet to a point, run thence Westwardly at right angles to said U. S. Highway 45, 290 feet toa point, run thence Northwardly parallel to said U. S. Highway 45, 520 feet toa point, run thence Westwardly 290 feet to the point of beginn- ing; together with that certain 50 foot roadway extending over the above described property and bounding the same at its North, East and South sides. The Classification of said property is hereby changed from Residential 3 ang Business 1 District (R-3 and B-1) to Business 2 District (B-2) and it shall hereafter be lawful to construct on such property any structures permitted by Ordinance No. 797, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, and to use said premises for any use permitted by the terms of said Ordinance in a B-2 District; provided, however, that the plans for any structure or building sought to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the building laws of the City of Prichard, and that any structure shall be approved by the building inspector of the City of Prichard, and that any such structure be erected only in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of said Ordinance No. 797.
