Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. _1105 AN ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Chief of Police of the City of Prichard, Alabama, acting by and through any authorized Prichard Police Officer, may issue written notice to any person to appear as a witness in a particular case to be tried in the Municipal Court of the City of Prichard, provided that the officer issuing such determines said person to be a material witness for the just trial of the case. Said written notice must state the particular time and place the witness is to appear and the name of the case in which the person receiving said notice is to appear as a material witness. Any person receiving such written notice from the Chief of Police of the City, as provided above, shall appear in the Municipal Court of the City at the time and place specified in said notice, and from time to time thereafter, until the case named in said notice has been finally acted upon by the Judge of the Municipal Court. Section 2. Such failure to appear before the Prichard Municipal Court by such witness at said time and place shall be unlawful, and a violation of this ordinance, and upon such failure to appear, a warrant for the arrest of such person may be issued by the Judge of the Municipal Court, and upon conviction for such offense, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $50.00 (Fifty Dollars) and may in addition, be sentenced to jail or hard labor for the City of Prichard for a period not to exceed 30 (Thirty) days.
