Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. /3 25" AN AMENDED ORDINANCE SETTING UP A PARKING AUTHORITY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, on the 6th day of June, 1972, Ordinance No. 1323 was passed by the City Council of the City of Prichard, it is now ordained by thé City Council of the City of Prichard that Ordinance No. 1323 be amended to read as follows: WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of “richard to create a parking authority NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the Council does hereby create a parking authority consisting of nine (9) members to be approved by the Council. Two (2) members to serve for a term of two (2) years; three (3) members to serve for a term of four (4) years; three (3) members to serve for a term of six (6) years; and one (1) member to serve for a term of seven (7) years. The member. appointed for the seven (7) year term by the City Council of the City of Prichard shall be designated as the Chairman of the Parking Authority. ; . The City Council of the City of Prichard does hereby authorize the Parking Authority to immediately work out plans for parking in the City of Prichard authorized by Act No. 166, approved by the Governor on September 8, 1967. When the Parking Authority completes a feasible study of the parking facilities, they are to submit their recommenda- tions to the City Council for their approval or disapproval. The’ Parking Authority is directed to make a monthly progress report, in writing, to the City Council of the City of Prichard commencing sixty (60) days after its creation.
