Page 1 ae RE ORDINANCE NO. _ 1258 BN ORDINANCE TO FURTHER AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 973. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 973, as amended by Ordinance No. 1041, and further amended by Ordinance No, 1087, 1112, and 1203, be and the same is hereby further amended so as to read as follows: Pursuant to the authority granted to the cities and towns ‘of Alabama by Title 37, Section h62 of the Code of Alabama, 190, as amended, there is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, for the purpose of prescribing regula- tions governing the construction, erection, alteration, or imorove- ment of building, the installation of plumbing and plumbing fix- tures, the installation of gas and gas fixtures, the installation ‘of electrical wiring and apparatus and for the sanitary conditions which any habitable occupancy must provide for safe and healthful living, all those certain codes printed in pamphlet form knom - - as Southern Standard Housing Code, 1969 Edition; Southern Standard Building Code, 1969 Edition, with 1970 Revision; Southern Stendard Plumbing Code, 1967 Edition, with 1970 Revisions; National Electrical , Code, 1968 Edition; American Insurance Association Fire=Prevention Code, 1965 Edition with 1966 Revision; Southern Standard Gas Code, 1969 Edition, with 1970 Revision} save and except such portions of said Code, respectively, as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office cf the City Clerk of the City of Prichard and the same are hereby adopted end incorporated as fully as if set out’at length herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling with the corporate limits and police jurisdiction of the City of Prichard, Alabama. Section 2. The said Ordinance No. 973, as amended, shall otherwise remain as it is now written. ADOPTED THIS 5th pay or October , 1970, APPROVED: ATTEST :
