Page 1 . ORDINANCE NO. _1312 AN ORDINANCE TO’ FURTHER AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 973. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS s “ SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 973, as amended by Ordinance No. 1041 and further amended by Ordinance Ho. 1087, be and the same is hereby further amended so as to read as follows: Pursuant to the authority granted to the cities and towns of Alabama by Title 37, Section 462 of the Code of Alabama, 1940, as amended, there is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, for the purpose of prescribing regula- tions governing the construction, erection, alteration, or improve- ment of buildings, the installation of plumbing and plumbing fix- tures, the installation of gas and gas fixtures, the installation of electrical wiring and apparatus and for the sanitary conditions which any habitable occupancy must provide for safe and healthful living, all those certain codes printed in pamphlet form known as Southern Standard Building Code, 1965 Edition, as amended in 1967; Southern Standard Building Code, Part 1, Building, 1965 Edition, as amended in 1967; Southern Standard Building Code, Part 11, Gas, 1965 Edition, as amended in 1967; Southern Standard Building Code, Bart 1V, Housing, 1965 Edition, as amended in 1966; Southern Standard Building Code, Part 111, Plumbing, 1965 Revision of 1962-63 Edition; and National Electrical Code, 1965 dition; Save and except such portions of said code, respectively, as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Prichard and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out-at length herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take-effect, the provi- sions thereof shall be controlling with the corporate limits and police jurisdiction of the City of Prichard, Alabama.
