Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1227 ’ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1204 RELATING TO OUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TAX OFFICER ‘ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: a3 - (A) That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1204, as amended by Ordinance No. _1219 _, is hereby further amended to read as tollows: Section 4. ‘The tax Officer shall have all duties, responsibilities, powers and authority: heretofore vested in the City Clerk under any and all ordinances of the City of Prichard relating to business licenses, gross receipt privilege license taxes, liguor and malt beverage taxes, cigarette license taxes, and gasoline excise taxes, and the City Clerk is hereby relieved of such duties, responsibilities, powers and authority except as provided in Section 8 hereafter. The Tax Officer may*receive payment cf such revenues as agent for the City Treasurer. (B) That this ordinance shall have full force and effect upon its approval as required by law.
