Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 153300 An Ordinance to create a five (5) member board to operate, control, over-see, regulate and maintain the John Langham Auditorium. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, as follows: SECTION. 1. CREATION OF BOARD. There is hereby created a five (5) member Board for the purpose of operating, controlling, over seeing, regulating and maintaining the John Langham Auditorium in the City of Prichard, Alabama. SECTION 2. DEFINITION. a. Whenever the word Municipality is used in this ordinance, jt shall mean the City of Prichard, Alabama. b. Whenever the word Boardis used in this ordinance, it shall mean the John Langham Auditorium Board. SECTION 3. DUTIES OF MEMBERS OF BOARD The members of the Board shall adopt by-laws, rules and regulations for the operation .of the Auditorium, and the Board, or a majority thereof, shall exercise all authority in regard to the operation, control, over- seeing, regulating, and maintaining the John Langham Auditorium, as was exercised by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, prior to the creation of the Board. The purpose for the creation of this Board is to operate the affairs of the John Langham Auditorium as a separate operation from the Municipality. SECTION 4. TERM OF OFFICE. Members of the Board shall be appointed by the City Council of the Municipality for a term of four (4) years. SECTION 5. APPOINTEES. RESIDENCE. The members of the Board must reside within. the City of Prichard, Alabama. SECTION 8. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. All ordinances and parts thereof in conflict with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. \ SECTION 9.
