Section 1 of Ordinance No. 884, adopted November 16, 1960, is hereby amended so as to read as follows: remain as i and effect ATTEST: Berniece H. SECTION 1. Any person applying for or holding any office, position or employment by or with the City of Prichard, Alabama, Classified and Unclassified, subject to the Civil Service Act of Mobile County, Alabama, (Local Act No. 479, approved 9-15-39, Local Acts of Alabama Page 298 as amended) must be and remain a resident of the City of Prichard, Alabama, provided, however, that in technical or professional positions and positions for which applicants are difficult to recruit, applications for employment may be accepted from persons residing outside the City of Prichard, provided, further, that such applicants agree to move into the City of Prichard within such time as designated by the Prichard City Council and not later than the end of their probationary period.
