Page 1 “- - a he — Ly EG 7 / Hei ® LA eh é (/ A WS Hb SECTION 17, For any violation of this ordinance, or any of the provisions thereof, for which no specific penalty is provided, or for any act of interference by any person with the City Clerk or any of his deputies or any lawful officer of the City of Prichard in the discharge of his or her duties, in connectionwith the enforcement of this ordinance, the recorder of the City of Prichard shall, upom the conviction of such person, impose a fine of not less than one (1.00) Dollar nor more than one Hundred ($100.00) Dollars,and may also sentence such person to hard labor for the City of Prichard for a term not to exceed six months, SECTION 18, That if any section or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, such holding shall not in anywise affect nor invalidate any other section or provision hereof, SECTION 19, The adoption of this ordinance shall not in any manner affect the prosecution of any matter actually begun or the right to institute the prosectuion of any act illegally done contrary to the provisions of any ordinance now or heretofore in existence, and every such prosectuion, whether begun before or after the enactment of this ordinance shall be governed by the law under which the offense was committed; nor shall a prosectuion, or the right to prosecute for the recovery of any penalty or the enforcement of any forfeiture be in any manner affected by the adoption of this ordinance; nor shall any civil action or cause of action existing prior to ar at thetime of the adoption of this ordinance be affected in any manner by its adoption. SECTION 20, That this ordinance, on its adoption and publication, shall be effective and operative on and after the 18th day of December, 1950. BERNIECE H.
