Page 1 ORDINANCE NO.: _ 1909 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 WHEREAS, pursuant to §11-43C-42 of the Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama transmitted his proposed General Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 to the Council on August 19, 2002; WHEREAS, on September 30, 2002, the Mayor revised the estimated revenue and expenditure projections of said budget by increasing the estimated revenue to $11,528,988.00 and increasing the estimated expenditures to $11,489,626.00; and WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the budget and the revisions thereto submitted by the Mayor and has made such alterations as it deems necessary pursuant to §11-43C-49 and is now desirous of adopting the General Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, as follows: Section 1. Pursuant to §11-43C-51 Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, the General Fund Budget for the City of Prichard, Alabama for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, attached hereto as Exhibit “1”, along with Exhibit “1" attached thereto, is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama. Section 2. That the appropriation for the Five percent (5 %) across the board raise for employees contained in the budget hereby adopted is intended to be effective as of the beginning of Fiscal Year 2002- Page 2 2003. Section 3. The Budget Message dated August 19, 2002, transmitted by the Mayor of the City of Prichard and accompanying the General Fund Budget for the City of Prichard, Alabama for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 and the budgetary guidelines and mandates as contained therein are hereby approved and adopted. Section 4. This budget shall be in effect for the budget year 2002-2003. A copy of this budget, as finally adopted, shall be certified by the Mayor and the City Clerk and filed in the Office of the Director of Finance. The budget so certified shall be printed, mimeographed or otherwise reproduced and sufficient copies thereof shall be made available for the use of all offices, departments and agencies and for the use of the citizens of the city who request a copy.
