Page 1 ORDINANCE NO, 1944 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PRICHARD NOT NEEDED FOR ANY MUNICIPAL OR PUBLIC PURPOSES; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO DETERMINE THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF SAID PROPERTY IN ANTICIPATION OF A SALE NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, as follows: 1, The City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama hereby establishes and declares that the real property of the City of Prichard, Alabama, described in Exhibit “A” hereto is no longer needed for public or municipal purposes. 2. That the Mayor of the City of Prichard, Alabama is hereby authorized to obtain the fair market value of said real property and to negotiate with Lamar Advertising for the sale and purchase of same. 3, That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law, ADOPTED thisthe 9th _day of August, 2007.
