Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 6 70 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THH CITY OF PRICHARD, ALA~ BAMA, AS FOLLOWS: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 513 is hereby amended by the addi- tion of the following paragraph at the end thereof: Any public utility which regularly or periodically obtains permits to make openings in public streets in the City of Prichard, Ala~ bama, may, instead of making the cash deposit provided in the pre- ceding paragraph, furnish a bond payable to the City of Prichard, Alabama, in such amount and with susp sureties as may be approved by the City Council of Prichard, Alabama, as sufficient to cover the costs set out in the preceding paragraph, said bond to be con- ditioned that if the public utility shall comply with all the terms, conditions and provisions of the permits and the rules and regulations governing such street openings and shall save harmless the City of Prichard from and against any and all loss, damages, costs or expenses which the City of Prichard shall sustain by rea- son of the making of street openings and excavations in streets under the control of the City of Prichard, then the obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
