Page 1 ‘ORDINANCE NO. _ 1070 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 981 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS s SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, being Ordinance No. 981 together with the Zoning map of the City of Prichard, be, and the same are hereby changed and altered in respect to that certain property in the City of Prichard, State of Alabama, described as follows, to-wit: From the Southwest intersection of St. Stephens Road and Berkley Avenue (formerly Alley No. 5) as said corner was established prior to the recent widening of St. Stephens Road and as said corner appears on the plat of survey recorded in Map Book 11 page 126 of the Probate Court records of Mobile County, Alabama, run Southwardly along the West line of St. Stephens Road as shown on said recorded plat 265.7 feet to the point of beginning, thence with a deflection angle to the right of 87 degrees 31 minutes, run Weswardly 995 feet, more or less, to the Bast line of Canal Street, run Southwardly along the Hast line of Canal Street 160 feet to a point on the South line of Lot 13, Range 1 West of the Owens Division of the St. Louis*Tract, — thence with a deflection angle to the left of 92 degrees 29 minutes run Eastwardly along the South line of said Lot 13, a distance of 995 feet more or less to the West line of St. Stephens Road, run thence Northwardly along the West line of St. Stephens Road 160 feet to the point of beginning. The classification of said property is hereby changed from Residential (R-3) District to Industrial (M-1) District and it shall hereafter be lawful to construct on such property any structures permitted by Ordinance No. 981, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, and to use said premises for any use permitted by the terms of said Ordinance in an Industrial (M-1) District, provided, however that the plans for any structure or building sought to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the building laws of the City of Prichard, and that any structure shall be approved by the Building Inspector of the City of Prichard, and that any such structure be erected only in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of said Ordinance No. 981; and provided further that an eight foot screen type wall of masonry blocks be erected across the front of this property abutting on St. Stephens Road within six months from the date of the adoption of this Ordinance. Page 2 Section 2. This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon its approval as required by law.
