Page 1 y Lan soe ORDINANCE # 1644 AN ORDINANCE TO FURTHER AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 973. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 973, as amended by Ordinance No. 1041, and further amended by Ordinances Nos. 1087, 1112, 1203, 1358, and 1491, be and the same is hereby further amended sO as to read as follows: Pursuant to the authority granted to the cities and towns of Alabama by Title 11, Section 45-8 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, there is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, for the purpose of prescribing regu+ -* lations governing fire prevention, the construction, erection, alteration or improve- ment of building, the installation of plumbing: and plumbing fixtures, the installa+ tion of electrical wiring and apparatus, and for the sanitary condition which any habitable occupancy must provide for safe and healthful living, all those certain codes printed in pamphlet form known as: The Standard Building Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Or- dinance; The Standard Gas Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The Standard Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent, to the adoption of this Ordi- nance; The National Fire Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The Standard Fire Prevention Code, 1982 Edition together with all revistons subsequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The Standard Mechanical Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The Standard Housing Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The Standard Code For the Elimination or Repair of Unsafe Buildings, 1982 Edition together with all revisions sub- sequent to the adoption of this Ordinance; The National Electric Code, 1982 Edition together with all revisions subsequent to the adoption of this Ordi- nance, Save and except such portions of said Codes, respectively, as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are. filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Prichard and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this Ordinance shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling Page 2 within the corporate limits and police jurisdiction of the City of Prichard, Alabama.
