Page 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1150 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, There is hereby created the office of President of the City Council of Prichard. SECTION 2. The office of President of the City Council shall be filled from the membership of the City Council and shall be held for successive terms by each member of the City Council as provided herein, provided that no member shall hold said office for more than one term during his term of office as councilman. SECTION 3, On the first Monday in October following the general municipal election of the City Council shall determine by voice vote the order in which the office of President of the City Councilshall be held, provided however that the person first chosen shall be entitled to hold said office for a period of twelve months, and the persons next chosen shall he entitled to hold said office for successive periods of nine (9) months each. SECTION 4, This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption by the City Council. ADOPTED by the City Council of Prichad, Alabama, this the 7th day of October , 1968 .
