Page 1 ’ ORDINANCE NO. 1377 + AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #1173 RELATING TO THE REPORTING OF INJURIES TO THE CITY BY EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, that Ordinance #1173 be amended to read as follows: SECTION 1: That any person employed by or on behalf of the City of Prichard who becomes involved in any acci- dent or suffers any injury while so employed and in the course of such employment shall report said accident or -injury to his department head before the end of the shift in which the injury occurred and further shail report said injury in writing to his department head or to the City Council within twenty-four (24) hours after said injury. SECTION 2: In the event such employee fails to so report any accident or injury as hereinabove provided, the said employee will forfeit any rights the said em- ployee may have to any claim against the City for said injury, including, but not being limited to, injured with pay status, any claim against the City for payment of medical expenses, or any other claim of any kind or nature against the City arising out of or in any way related to such accident or injury. SECTION 3: All ordinances and resolutions or any parts thereof in conflict with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
