This Ordinance is vetoed due to its inconsistency with the projected commercial trend in the area; its lack of conservation for a higher tax base and greater use for the property; its failure to account for the long-term potential development and tax base potential of the area; and its potential exposure of residents to the hazards of living on and near a federal highway and federal interstate designated for expansion and improvements should a residential standard be allowed. I am happy to cooperate, should a commercial zone and ordinance be presented for my signature by signing the appropriate ordinance.
