ORDINANCE NO. _ 1072
AN ORDINANCE TO. AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 586
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD
ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: ,
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 586,
adopted August 3, 1953, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
It shall be unlawful and an offense against the
City of Prichard to move or cause to be moved on-or along
the public streets of the City of Prichard any house, build-
ing, or other structure of similar nature without first
having obtained from the Chief of Police or his designated
agent a permit to do so, and shall have, in addition,
deposited with the City of Prichard the sum of $100.00 as
an indemnity against damage to public property by reason
of such moving, providing that such a deposit, less what-
ever amount shall be deducted to indemnify against loss by
damage to or destruction of public property, shall be
returned to the depositor; and, provided further, any
person who has been a resident citizen of Mobile County,
Alabama, for a period in excess of two (2) years, may, in,
lieu of posting $100.00 as indemnity, post with the City
of Prichard an indemnity bond in the amount of $2,500.00,
with good and sufficient surety, indemnifying the City of
Prichard against damage to public property by reason of
such moving.
Section 2. Ordance No. 586 shall otherwise remain
as it is now written.
