Page 1 ORDINANCE #1582 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE. OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 981. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Prichard, being Ordinance No. 981, together with the Zoning Map of the City of Prichard be, and the same are hereby changed and altered In respect to that certain property in the City of Prichard, State of Alabama, described as follows, to wit: That lot of land bounded by a line commencing at a point on the West Side of Engine Street(W. Main Street) 100 feet southwardly from southwest intersection of Engine Street(W. Main Street) and Fourth Street (Elba Avenue) thence running southwardly along the West line of Engine Street (W. Main: Street) 50 feet to a point, thence running westwardly and parallel with the North line of the lot herein described 183 feet to a point 100 feet from the West line of Lot 2, Square 29 of the Town of Whistler(Incorporated into the Town of Prichard) thence running northwardly parallel with and distant 100 feet from the west line of said Lot 2, distance of 50 feet to a point, in the North line of said Lot 2, thence running eastwardly along the north line. of said Lot 2, a distance of 182 feet to the point of beginning, being the East 182 feet of the North Half of-Lot 2, in Square 29, in the Town of Whistler(Incorporated into the Town of Prichard) situated in the County of Mobile, State of Alabama. The Classification of said property is hereby changed from Manufacturing | District to Residential 3 District. and ft shall hereafter be lawful to construct on such property any structures permitted by the terms of said Ordinance. in a- Residential 3 District; provided, however, that the plans for any structure or building sought to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the Building Laws of the City of Prichard, and that any structure shall be approved by the. Building Inspector of the City of Prichard. and that any such structure be erected in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of said Ordinance #981, Section 2.
