IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE No..(% | _ — 4n Ordinance to provide for certain street improvements in the City of Prichard and to provide for assessing the cost thereof against the properties especially benefitted thereby. Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama, as follows: - . “7 , Section - 1,, That streets and portions thereof hereinafter designated shall be paved for a width of 10 feet on each side of the center line thereof (said pavement to be 20 feet in total width). TIMOTHY STREET = Timothy Street shall be paved from the south. edge of the existing pavement on Bay Bridge Road southward to the north edge of the proposed pavewent on Willjoha Street. WILLJOHN STREET + Willjeba Street shall be paved from the East edge of the existing pavement on’Section Street northeastward to the south edge of the existing pavement om Bay Bridge Road. Section «= Z, That said pavement shall consist of compacted sandeclay base, asphalt prime, asphalt and slag mat and asphalt plant mix seal. The necessary drainage consisting of Portland cement concrete pipes, | and brick inlets with cast iron frames and covers shall be installed as needed along the above described streets. Section = 3, The cost of constructing the improvemerts provided for im the preceding Sections 1 and 2 shall be assessed against the pro- perties abutting on the streets and portions thereof herein provided to be improved in the manner provided by the laws of the State of Alabama; provided; that no assessment shall exceed the cost of the im- provements and no assessment shall exceed the increased value of the property to be assessed by reason of the special benefits derived from such improvements, Section - 4, The improvements provided for in this ordinance shail be completed in accordance with the established grades on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City and with the details, drawings , plans, specifications, and surveys and cost estimates of said work | heretofore prepared by Ladd Engineering Company and on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Prichard, The said details, drawitgs, plans, specifications, and surveys of said work amd the
