Fire Protection Systems Contractor Responsibility, In addition to the requirements as set forth herein, proof of competency is required from all individuals, agents or businesses that choose to design install and/or replace components of a fire protection system. Fire alarm and fire protection sprinkler system contractors are required to furnish a copy of their mandated Alabama State Fire Marshal's permit.
