Page 1 ORDINANCE #1763 AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT A FIRE PREVENTION CODE FOR THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the 1991 edition of the Standard Fire Prevention Code, copyright 1991 by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., and the complete set of the 1991 National Fire Codes, published by the National Fire Protection Association, with all amendments and updates thereto, which has been of file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Prichard, Alabama, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the city Council of the City of Prichard, Alabama on the 12th day of January, 1993 are hereby adopted as the Fire Prevention Code of the City of Prichard. SECTION 2. That a copy of this Ordinance shall be published pursuant to and according to law, after its adoption, but it shall not be necessary for the said Fire Prevention Code and National Fire Codes to be published in a newspaper, nor shall the same be spread at length upon the minutes of the Council, but this Ordinance shall be recorded in the Minutes. SECTION 3. The said Fire Prevention Code and National Fire Codes, 1991 edition with alleamendments and updates shall be in full force and effect on and after the 16th day of February, 1993, and all ordinance heretofore adopted by the City of Prichard in conflict therewith are hereby repealed.
