An Ordinance to provide for certain strest improvements in the Gity of Prichard and to provide for assesemente of the cost thereof against the Properties especially benefited thereby. Be it GRBAINED by the Glity Gouneil of the Gity of Prichard, Alabame as oLlows: Section 1. The streets and portions thereof hereinafter designated shall be paved for a width of 10 feet on each side of the center line thereof (said pavement to be 20 feet in total width). POCH SEIREET + Foch Street shall be paved from the east edge of tha existing pavement on Greft Highway east to the west line of Pine Street. BAST PERSRING ‘STREET = East Pershing Street shall be paved from the east edge of the existing pavement on Cratt Highway ‘east to the east end of East Pershing Street. . ”, Ss BELL STREET - Bill Seveet shall be paved from the east edge of the existing Pavement on Main Street east to the east end of Hill Street. CAWTHON STREET < Cawthon Street shali be paved from the west edge of the proposed pavement on Palmetto Avenue east to the west edge of the existing pavement on Telegraph Road, Boop ow hho 4, be KATE STREET + Kate Street shell be paved from the cast edge o£ the existing pavement on West Street east to the east edge'of the proposed pavement on Section Strect, Section 2, The necessary drainage consisting of Portland cement concrete pipes,’ and brick catch-basins with cast iron gratings and/or covers, shail be installed as needed along the above described streets and portions thereof, The materials of which said pavement shall be composed are Bituminous pavement on # compacted sand,’ clay base course. ' Section 3, The cost of constructing the improvement provided for in the preceding Section 1 shell be assesced against the properties abutting on the streets and portions thereof herein provided to be improved in the manner provided by the laws of the State of Alabema; provided; that no assegement shali exceed the cost of the improvements and no @ssesonent shall exceed the increased value of the property to be assessed by reason of the special benefits derived from such japravements, $ Section 4, The improvements provided for in this otdinance shall be com- pisted in accordance with the established grades on file in the office of the Gity Clerk of the city and with: the Geteile, drawings, plans, : : specifications, and surveys and cest estimates of said works hereto fore prepared by LADD Biigineering Company and on file in the office O£ the City Glerk of the city of Prichard. The said details, drawings, plans, specifica- tions, and surveys of said work and the cost estimates thereof, which have been exhibited to the City Goueil, are hereby ‘adopted by said counciland shall remain on file in the office of the City, Clerk until March 19, 1956 where affected property owners and other interested parties may see and examine the sane, ‘ : Section 5. The Gity Council of the Gity of Prichard will meet on the iSth day of Merch, 1956 at 5:09 ofelock:P.
