Page 1 Gee CR S72 * ORDINANCE NO. \ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRICHARD, ALABAMA AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I. In addition to all licenses levied by the City of Prichard, Alabama, there 1s hereby levied, imposed, and assessed against each and every person, firm or corporation engaged in selling or furnishing electric power, whether hydro-electric or otherwise, within the Police Jurisdiction of the Clty of Prichard, Alabama, but without the corporate limits thereof, an annual license in the amount of one and one-half percent (12%) of the total gross receipts of such person, firm or corporation derived from such area during the next preceding calendar year. SECTION Il. Hach such person, firm or corporation shall, between the first day of January and the 28th day of February of each calendar year, file with the City Clerk of the City of Prichard a sworn, itemized statement reflecting the true and accurate amount of the total gross business of such person, firm or corporation in such area for the next preceding calendar year, and such statement, ~~ must be accompanied by sufficient funds to pay the license indi” cated by such statement. SECTION III. Any person, firm or corporation violating. Section Tf or Section II hereof shall be guilty of an offense against the City of Prichard and shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than One Hundred Dollars (8100.00), and may, in addition, be sentenced to jail or to herd labor for the Gity of Prichard for a period not to exceed six months. oe eee
